Jon Krause & Edel Rodriguez: Hidden Secrets
August 16 – September 7, 2008
Opening Reception: Saturday August 14, 1 – 4 pm
Hidden Secrets, a series of works from artists Jon Krause and Edel Rodriguez, speaks to the lives we live through narrative and metaphor. Drawing from their graphic backgrounds, Krause and Rodriguez challenge their viewers with imagery depicting tales of the human experience. These works point out the eccentricities of life.
Edel Rodriguez and Jon Krause see Hidden Secrets as a metaphor of an inward journey towards conceptual illustrations and ideology. Connected by their interests in popular culture and propaganda posters, these artists use a strong visual language to create their own imaginary constructions — to provoke thought and awareness amongst their audiences.
