Maurice Ducret
Artist Bio
Swiss painter Maurice Ducret has exhibited extensively in Europe since 1981 and in the United States since 1988. Numerous catalogues have been published on his work and it is represented in the collections of the Kunstmuseum Asrau, Switzerland, the British Museum of Art, London, the Arkansas Musuem of Art and the Toledo Museum of Art in the United States. Receiving several international scholarships, Ducret studied in Switzerland, Great Britain, the Netherlands and France. In his current work Ducret over-paints a photographic ground modifying the document drastically, in some cases obliterating it completely.
