Robert Sprachman
Artist Bio
Robert Sprachman is a Toronto based sculptor and photographer, whose work can be seen at various locations in Toronto, the USA and abroad. Graduating from the University of Manitoba and The Ontario College of Art & Design, Sprachman has established an international reputation for creating works of art that speak about the relationship between mankind and nature. His public sculpture draws its inspiration from site with the goal of creating a sense of place and meaning within the urban fabric.
In his photography Sprachman finds his source material in the everyday details of the natural world around us. He then takes those images and creates large scale photo montages. The resultant images are striking in their abstract quality when seen from afar and fascinating in their detail and complexity when viewed up close.
