The Alternative Process Photography Symposium (A.P.P.S. 2011) is a joint initiative of Lonsdale Gallery, Elevator Laboratories and the 918 Bathurst Centre, with additional workshops being held at Gallery 44.
Osheen Harruthoonyan’s work in currently being featured in a solo exhibition at the MacDonald Stewart Art Centre in Guelph Ontario.
Osheen will be giving an artist talk at the MacDonald Stewart on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 12pm. There will also be a closing party for the exhibition on Thursday, February 17, 2011.

Lonsdale artist Amanda McCavour is one of the featured artists in this year’s Hard Twist Exhibition, Chroma. Hard Twist is an annual juried fibre exhibition produced by the Gladstone Hotel. Showcasing cutting edge contemporary fibre based work.

Lonsdale Gallery participated in this years Art Toronto 2010. It was a wonderful fair and Lonsdale was pleased to be in the company of so many great galleries and artists.

On Thursday, October 14th, In Pursuit by Nicholas Shick opened at Gallery 918 (part of the 918 Bathurst Centre). This offsite presentation by Lonsdale Gallery is part of the first ever Printopolis Festival. Organized by Open Studio, the Printopolis Festival celebrates the art of printmaking in its various forms.

Lonsdale Gallery is proud to introduce photographer Neil Dankoff. Dankoff’s panoramic images emerged from a desire to capture a sense of awe inspired by the landscape. The vibrant and sweeping horizons in his photographs are mesmerizing.
On Tuesday, October 5th, Shel Zahav by Neil Dankoff previewed to the Atarah Women’s Division of the UJA. It was a wonderful event, which not only preview the exhibition but also discussed community involvement and the importance of giving back. The group was joined by speakers from J.A.C.S (Jewish Addiction Counseling Services).
